Lance Corporal Promotion Test 2010 (2010 Intake)

1. The lance Corporal (LCP) Promotion test will be held in November 2010.

1.1. Exact date of the test will be notified at least 2 weeks pior to the test date.

1.2. There will be no retest for absentee without valid reasons.

1.3. There is a minimum requirement of 60% attendance for all training before the test date, to be able to sit for the test.

Important Information for NCO Squad

This notice is for the NCOs.

Please be informed that there will be a battery of written, practical and verbal tests conducted on the 3rd of September.

You are advised to
1. Study the hardskills that you have learnt. These include Drills and Outdoors.
2. Practice on your softskills.
3. Have a good knowledge on the Unit Policies.

The results of your performance in the tests will determine your suitability for future deployment in the Unit, and promotion to senior rank.

You will be deployed in the one of the roles below.
1. Trainer
2. Administration and Logistical Support NCO
3. Feedbacks and Improvement NCO

1. For Trainer, you will take on the role of cultivating the cadets to lead and serve in a challenging world, through the teachings of various hardskills and softskills. You will need to have a high level of competency in your skills, and demonstrate mastery in PICARD.

2. For Administration and Logistical Support NCO, you will work closely with the Trainers and provide them with the necessary support they need. This includes providing the administrative paperwork (e.g. Notes, Attendance Files), administrative knowledge (e.g. Unit Policies, Activity Timeplan), and the logistics that they require, in a fast and organised manner. Consistent exercising of PICARD is required.

3. For Feedbacks and Improvement NCO, more details will be told to you in person due to sensitivity concerns, should you get posted to this function.
