Promotion Test - Sec 1 - 3

All NPCC cadets who are down for Student Leaders Camp will take their Promotion Test on 1 December 2010. Time and attire, check with your respective CIs.

Lance Corporal Promotion Test 2010 (2010 Intake)

1. The lance Corporal (LCP) Promotion test will be held in November 2010.

1.1. Exact date of the test will be notified at least 2 weeks pior to the test date.

1.2. There will be no retest for absentee without valid reasons.

1.3. There is a minimum requirement of 60% attendance for all training before the test date, to be able to sit for the test.

1.4. The test incorporate the following badges;

Important Information for NCO Squad

This notice is for the NCOs.

Please be informed that there will be a battery of written, practical and verbal tests conducted on the 3rd of September.

You are advised to
1. Study the hardskills that you have learnt. These include Drills and Outdoors.
2. Practice on your softskills.
3. Have a good knowledge on the Unit Policies.

The results of your performance in the tests will determine your suitability for future deployment in the Unit, and promotion to senior rank.

You will be deployed in the one of the roles below.
1. Trainer
2. Administration and Logistical Support NCO
3. Feedbacks and Improvement NCO

1. For Trainer, you will take on the role of cultivating the cadets to lead and serve in a challenging world, through the teachings of various hardskills and softskills. You will need to have a high level of competency in your skills, and demonstrate mastery in PICARD.

2. For Administration and Logistical Support NCO, you will work closely with the Trainers and provide them with the necessary support they need. This includes providing the administrative paperwork (e.g. Notes, Attendance Files), administrative knowledge (e.g. Unit Policies, Activity Timeplan), and the logistics that they require, in a fast and organised manner. Consistent exercising of PICARD is required.

3. For Feedbacks and Improvement NCO, more details will be told to you in person due to sensitivity concerns, should you get posted to this function.

*Each NCO will only be posted to 1 role. You are only to carry out your role as specified above. No NCO should multi-task and take on more than one role.

You have approximately 10 Days to prepare, and you are advised to use your free time wisely.
This will be a test of your commitment and passion towards NPCC, before 3rd September. Persevere on and remember that you reap what you sow.

If you have any query, please clarify days ahead of the tests date. Absence from the weekly activity without approval will guarantee your posting as a Feedbacks and Improvement NCO.

Greetings to all Sec 2 and 3 cadets,

There is some information that needs to be conveyed to you.

Firstly, below are the STC groupings for the Sec 3s. Sec 3s are required to fall in in their respective groups upon reaching the Changi Jetty. There would be labels on the ground to guide you all where to fall in.

Adventure Training Camp (ATC) and Survival Training Camp (STC) is coming soon and here are the details.

Dates: 13, 14 & 15th November
Days: Friday - Sunday
*Reporting Time in School: 2pm (13th Nov)
Dismissal Time at Changi Jetty: 1.30pm (15th Nov)
Reporting Attire: PT Kit

* There will be a bus to transport everyone to the Changi Jetty from school. The bus will not wait. So Muslim boys, pls hurry as much as you can.

Attendance for the Camp is necessary for future promotion to higher ranks, as ATC and STC badges are part of the requirement for you to be eligible for future Promotion Tests. Please check with your Squad CIs when in doubt.
